Klonopin is indicated for the treatment of panic attacks and to prevent seizure disorders which belongs to a class of drugs called benzodiazepines. It is meant for short-term treatment only and by calming your brain and nerves, it works. Though it helps many people, it sometimes may cause addiction. Klonopin is available as a tablet that should be administered with water by swallowing the tablet whole. It has two strengths: 1 mg and 2 mg. There are two versions of orange Klonopin pills, each of them containing 0.5mg of Klonopin. The form of Klonopin is an orange, round pill (imprint 1 2, where 1 is above a horizontal line and 2 is below the horizontal line. It is available as a lower-cost generic. An increase in the dose for most patients of 1 mg/day may be made after 3 days. The recommended dose of 1 mg per day is based on the results from a fixed dose study. Side effects like dizziness, drowsiness, tiredness, etc., may occur. Klonopin may interact with certain medications which may lead to serious side effects. To avoid serious side effects, you should take this medication only if you are advised by a doctor to take it.
