ATIVAN 2 MG is a round white pill that belongs to the drug class of Anxiolytics which acts on the central nervous system to produce a claiming effect and is used for severe anxiety disorders, panic attacks, and insomnia. It is an FDA-approved prescribed medicine. This medicine decreases your brain activity and helps to control anxiety. Take this medicine as directed by your doctor with or without food. To treat sleep problems your doctor will prescribe a dosage range of 2mg to 4 mg once per day. To treat anxiety the dosage range will be 1mg to 10 mg. Before any surgery, a doctor gives an IM injection of ATIVAN to make sleep, then the dosage will depend on the patient’s body weight. There are some common effects of ATIVAN like – loss of balance, skin rash, tiredness, dizziness, headache, sleep problems, loss of concentration, and vomiting. Nausea, skin rash, constipation, and some serious side effects like -thoughts of suicide, confusion, aggression, upper stomach pain, etc are faced by a patient while taking ATIVAN. It can slow or stop your breathing if you have recently used an opioid medication or other drugs. It can also cause addiction or death if you misuse ATIVAN. It is not approved for children.
