Xanax XR 3 mg

Description

Xanax XR is indicated for the treatment of anxiety, and panic disorders. It belongs to a class of medications called benzodiazepines that affect chemicals in the brain and nerves to produce a calming effect.  It comes in tablet form that is approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in which “Alprazolam” is the generic name. It has three strengths (including Extended-Release): Xanax 1 mg, Xanax 2 mg, and Xanax XR 3 mg. The form of Xanax XR 3 mg is a green triangular-shaped pill, imprinted with “M” on one side and “74” on the other side. The positive side of this medication is that it works quickly. To treat panic disorder, the recommended dosage of Xanax XR is 3mg to 6mg per day since it works over about 24 hours. In addition, the 2 mg and 3 mg tablets contain FD&C blue No. 2. However, it is not meant to be a long-term treatment because it may lead to an addiction. Xanax XR 3mg may cause serious effects including depression, suicidal thoughts, confusion, hallucinations, agitation, etc. However, some common side effects include dizziness, drowsiness, tiredness, headache, vomiting, etc. It has a risk for abuse and addiction, so it is better to keep out of children.
