Phentermine 30 mg tablet is a prescribed sympathomimetic (stimulant) medication that is used by certain overweight people or those who have weight-related medical problems, to lose weight. Losing weight and keeping it off can reduce the many chances of health risks. It works by raising the levels of chemicals in the human brain which is involved in regulating appetite. However, Phentermine is available in two dosage forms, i.e., tablets form and capsules form. The capsule form of this medication has two strengths, i.e., 15 mg and 30 mg. Phentermine 30 mg capsule is gray and yellow in form with imprint EL600 EL600 on one side of both ends. This medicine is available only with your doctor’s prescription in which the usual adult dose is 15 mg to 30 mg at approximately 2 hours after breakfast for appetite control. Management of one 30 mg capsule per day is adequate for depression of the appetite for 12 to 14 hours. Phentermine 30 mg is not recommended for use in 16 years of age and under because this drug may be habit-forming. Even, it is not recommended to take it late evening because of the possibility of resulting insomnia. It may cause some side effects that include dry mouth, trouble sleeping, hallucination, severe mental changes, chest pain, dizziness, racing heartbeat or pulse, headache, etc.
