Opana ER 20 mg

Description

Opana ER 20mg is used in the treatment of severe pain and belongs to the drug class Opioids (narcotic analgesics) that is approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to treat pain in adults. It is classified as a Schedule 2 controlled substance under the Controlled Substance Act (CSA) but the risk cannot be ruled out during pregnancy. This product is supplied in 5 mg, 7.5 g, 10 mg, 15 mg, 20 mg, 30 mg, and 40 mg tablet strengths. The green eight-sided pill with imprint 20 on one side of the tablet has been identified as Opana ER 20 mg which is supplied by Endo Pharmaceuticals Inc. Opana ER 20 mg should be taken by mouth on an empty stomach (without food) as directed by your health specialist since food can increase the rate of absorption by 50%. So, the recommended starting dose by a health specialist for adults is 10 mg to 20 mg every 4 to 6 hours per day. Some side effects like nausea, vomiting, headache, constipation, dizziness, drowsiness, mood changes, vision changes, slow/fast heartbeat, fainting, seizure, rash, etc. may develop.
