Description

Codeine 300/30 mg is indicated for the management of mild to moderate pain, and dry cough, which belongs to the drug class narcotic analgesic combinations that convert into morphine in the person’s body. It is a natural opioid drug class derived from morphine. This drug in combination with acetaminophen, is a Schedule III controlled substance so it may lead to high risks of addiction, abuse, and misuse. Codeine is available as an immediate-release (IR) medication, whereas each tablet contains 300 mg of acetaminophen, and either 15 mg, 30 mg, or 60 mg of codeine phosphate. It is available as a round, white to off-white tablet with the imprint “TV 150” on one side and “3” on the other side; is supplied by Teva Pharmaceuticals USA, Inc. You should not take more than 3,000 mg to 4,000 mg of this drug within a day. Acetaminophen and codeine phosphate tablets are contraindicated for all children younger than 12 years of age. Some common side effects include drowsiness, dizziness, feeling tired, nausea, vomiting, stomach pain, constipation, headache, etc. It is recommended to avoid drinking alcohol.
