Description

Opana ER 30 mg is used to help relieve severe ongoing pain that belongs to a class of drugs known as long-acting opioid analgesics. It works in the human brain to change how they respond to pain. The generic name of this medication is Oxymorphone which is classified as a Schedule 2 controlled substance under the Controlled Substance Act (CSA). Opana is supplied in 5 mg, 7.5 g, 10 mg, 15 mg, 20 mg, 30 mg, and 40 mg tablet strengths. The red eight-sided pill with imprint 30 on one side of the tablet has been identified as Opana ER 30 mg which is supplied by Endo Pharmaceuticals Inc. The initial dose is 10 mg to 20 mg every 4 to 6 hours per day, but if necessary then your health provider may increase your dose to 30mg. It contains inactive ingredients: hypromellose, methylparaben, sodium stearyl fumarate, titanium dioxide, triacetin, polyethylene glycol, polysorbate 80, and ferric oxide red. After taking Opana ER 30mg, side effects like nausea, vomiting, headache, constipation, dry mouth, mild itching, lightheadedness, dizziness, drowsiness, mental/mood changes (such as agitation, confusion, hallucinations), stomach/abdominal pain, vision changes, or slow/fast heartbeat may occur.
