Methadone 5 mg

Description

Methadone 5 mg is a prescribed medication indicated for the treatment of Opioid Use Disorder (OUD) that belongs to a class of drugs known as opioid analgesics. It works by binding to opioid receptors in the brain to change how your body feels and responds to pain. Methadone is available under the names: Methadose and Dolophine. This product has two strengths: Methadone 5 mg and Methadone 10 mg. The form of Methadone 5 mg is white rectangular shaped with imprint “M” on one side and “57 55” on the opposite side which is supplied by Mallinckrodt Pharmaceuticals. The initial recommended dose of Methadone 5 mg is 5-10mg (1 to 2 tablets) every 6 to 8 hours but do not take 2 doses of this medicine at one time. The dose may be adjusted by your doctor depending on the level of pain relief you need (if necessary). So, always take this medicine exactly as your health provider has told you. Common side effects like mood swings, dizziness, headache, drowsiness, skin rash, constipation, or sweating may occur. This medication is a Schedule II drug and a controlled substance regulated by the federal government that can cause a risk of abuse and addiction which can lead to overdose and death.
