Methadone 10 mg tablet is used for the treatment of moderate pain. It is also known as the M 5717 white round pill for pain relief. Methadone is a prescription drug. Do not use this medication to relieve pain that will go away in a few days (such as pain from surgery). This medication is not for (“as needed”) use. This medication is used to treat opioid disorders. Suddenly using this medication can be harmful because it has a lot of side effects, especially if you’ve been taking the higher dosage of methadone for a very long time. It is a prescribed medicine from your doctor, do change the dosage of the medication by yourself. First, consult your doctor, and talk to them then they will prescribe you the other medicine or dosage. Methadone 10 mg has the risk of addiction even if you’re using it in the right way. This can harm your body and lead to drug misuse. Having an addiction or overdosing on the medication can increase the risk of death. It can also stop your breathing. Tell your doctor right away if you have any symptoms such as restlessness, mental/mood changes (including anxiety, trouble sleeping, thoughts of suicide), watering eyes, runny nose, nausea, diarrhea, sweating, muscle aches, or sudden changes in behavior.
